Soundtrack for a project by Leslie Moore
A project by graphic design agency Lesley Moore, based on stories by Latvian writer Imants Ziedonis. Exhibited at WM Gallery, Amsterdam, 2 April - 7 May 2011.
In Ziedonis' fairy tale book Kr?sain?s Pasakas (1973, Colored Tales), the main character of each short story is a colour. Five of these (Green, Brown, Red, Blue, Grey) were 'translated' into sound compositions, which appear on the pop-up book + LP that is published for this exhibition, together with the stories narrated by Sahand Sahebdivani.
During the exhibition, visitors were invited to listen to the music while reading the stories or browsing through the pop-up book.
The soundtrack for 'Colour Tales' was released on the cd 'Colour Tones', by Fang Bomb.
