Live performance piece

Deventer art organisation Kunstenlab commissioned me to make a short piece for the opening ceremony of Tanja Smeets' artwork 'Growing Fence', situated at the bicycle storage at the city's train station.

The piece is based on a bike travel from a commuter's home to the station. Field recordings are overlayed by five horn players performing a simple score (guided by time notations). The performers: Janneke Zwiers (alt saxophone), Frendo Hartgers (flugelhorn), Ton van Rijn (trombone), Gerard Verwoolde (bariton saxophone) and Otto Kokke (bariton saxophone).
